Paul is a seasoned barrister with a broad commercial and civil litigation practice, with particular expertise in insolvency, security enforcement, debt recovery, and receivership matters. He is also experienced in disputes arising from construction, infrastructure, and commercial property arrangements.
Paul is regularly instructed in complex matters involving multiple parties, significant financial exposure, and overlapping legal and commercial issues. Commercial Disputes: Acting for a range of parties in contractual disputes, governance and shareholder disputes, negligence and other tort claims, insurance matters, and disputes involving central or local government agencies.
Property Disputes: Acting for property owners and commercial tenants across the full range of property‑related disputes, including easements, caveats, leases, cross‑leases, and sale and purchase issues.
Franchise Disputes: Acting for both franchisors and franchisees in the resolution of franchise‑related disputes.
Construction: Acting for builders, developers and clients on disputes arising from construction projects, payment claims and schedules under the Construction Contracts Act 2002, and defect claims.
